Country music is one of the Brazilian genres that has always been renewed and has always been open to diverse cultural influences. Around 1950, the music that was produced in the countryside, here in Brazil, began to change and became a more urban genre. At that time, Latin rhythms were quite popular on Brazilian radio stations, and country artists ended up absorbing these references in their creations. Among the most played styles were the Mexican bolero and ranchera, the Paraguayan guarania and the Argentinian chameleon.
